We’re thrilled to be rated GOOD in latest Ofsted
We’re delighted to share that our latest Ofsted report declares us a ‘Good’ school.
It tells of how pupils’ attendance and conduct has been totally transformed and that teaching is good across a range of subjects!
The visiting inspectors said: “Leaders promote positive values clearly and consistently. They support a culture where pupils are confident, considerate of others and hard-working. As a result, pupils enjoy school, attend regularly and learn well.”
The Ofsted team singled out our leadership: “Senior leaders, including those of the Co-op Academies Trust, have provided expert and determined leadership to secure the good quality of education provided at the school.
The report goes on to say: “Leaders have very clearly demonstrated the capacity to realise their ambition to improve the school further.
Mrs Smith is delighted to share the news: “I am so proud of what has been achieved by the whole school community – students, their parents, all colleagues, both teaching and non-teaching, and governors but this is not the end of our transformational journey. As the inspectors pointed out we are determined and well-equipped to improve pupils’ outcomes further and we have the ambition to see the academy go from strength to strength.”
Frank Norris, Director of the Trust said: “Rebecca Smith and her team have shown what can be achieved by a well run and focused academy. It has an unflinching approach to improvement and ensures the students get a wide range of opportunities that are life changing. The Co-op, which has a purpose beyond making a profit, considers supporting schools as part of its community engagement and as such understands how a good school can do so much to enhance an area for all those living there.
