A Magical Day with the School of Classical Russian Ballet

Our Academy welcomed the School of Classical Russian Ballet to North Manchester.

The group of talented dancers aged between 10 – 18 years old graced us and the local community with two spectacular performances.

The dancers worked with principal artists from either the Bolshoi or Mariinsky Ballets, the two most famous and greatest ballet companies in the world.

They performed a series of extracts including Jewels and Peasant Dance from Sleeping Beauty, Russian Dance from Swan Lake, Cupids from Don Quixote and more.

Harriet Pickering, Director at the ballet school said: “We were very happy to come to Manchester and would like to come more often. The North and the South should see more of each other.”

Everyone loved the performances with locals describing the dancers as ‘magical, ‘graceful’ and ‘inspiring’. A parent who attended the event tweeted us to say:

One of our Pupils said: “It was so inspiring, I actually got goose bumps.”

Another Pupil added: “I have never seen anything like this before. I will remember this performance for a very long time.”

We would like to say a big thank you to the School of Classical Russian Ballet for gracing us with such beautiful performances. We hope to see you again soon.
