We're closed to most students
The Government is asking parents to keep children at home whenever possible – schools remain open only for children who need to attend.

The department has three dedicated teaching rooms and Geography is delivered by subject specialists as a separate subject. This enables the skills of the subject, as well as the knowledge base, to be embedded from the start of the course.

The academy holds the Fairtrade Achiever award and has presented at a range of conferences, including within the Co-op academies Trust, about its work within this area.

What does our curriculum include?

The curriculum is broken down into key topic areas with key skills posed around each one. Our extensive grounds and roof top garden enable us to learn in a variety of environments and visits to a coastal environment and an urban landscape are offered, all of which bring geography to life.

Extra-curricular opportunities are well attended and include an orienteering club and an Eco-Club. The Eco-Club has worked hard to enhance the rooftop garden and to reduce plastic waste across the academy.
