Year 9 Options Evening, Thursday 6th March 2025

It is with great pleasure that we invite parents and carers to our Year 9 Options Evening on Thursday 6th March from 4.00pm - 6.30pm. At Co-op Academy North Manchester we are very proud of the variety of courses we are able to offer pupils at Key Stage 4 and believe it is important that we equip parents and carers with all the information they need to make the right decisions for them and their child in preparation for next academic year.

The evening is an exciting opportunity for parents and carers to speak face-to-face with subject specialists about Key Stage 4 courses, career pathways and combinations of subjects to consider. With a wide variety of courses on offer at Key Stage 4 which build towards preparing pupils for post 16 pathways, this is the ideal opportunity to find out about everything on offer and possible career choices. The academy has invited representatives from organisations such as Sixth Form Colleges and the Apprenticeship Ambassadors to attend the academy on the evening so that you may ask them any questions you may have.

Attached below is a copy of the Options Information booklet.  This booklet contains details of the different courses on offer as well as further information regarding the Options process.  We recommend that parents and carers read through the booklet and familiarise themselves with courses available ahead of the evening so that they are prepared to ask any questions they may have. The information is also available to view by clicking this link: Options Information. This can be translated into a preferred language by clicking the globe icon in the top right corner of the menu bar.

There will also be two information talks about the Options process on the night at 4.00pm and 5.00pm.  These talks will provide key information about the process, including the timeline for making and submitting subject preferences.  We are asking that parents and carers book on to one of these talks in advance.  Parents and carers should arrive in time for the beginning of the selected talk and then allow time to visit the Options stalls and speak with the teachers, who are the subject specialists.

Parents and carers are asked to complete this form, confirm their attendance and select their preferred talk: Year 9 Options Presentation

Car parking spaces will be available for parents and carers to use. Upon arriving at the academy, please enter via the main reception to sign in.

We are certain families will find this event informative and useful.

For any questions ahead of the evening please email noma-enquiries@coopacademies.co.uk and address your email to Mrs C McLean.

Yours sincerely,

Claire McLean
