Time To Talk Day Spreads Positivity at Co-op Academy North Manchester

In celebration of Time To Talk Day, Miss Beaumont hosted a special session in her classroom that encouraged pupils to open up about their mental health and share uplifting messages with one another. The event, which took place during lunchtime, saw a fantastic turnout from students who were eager to take part in the initiative and spread positivity.
As part of the activity, Miss Beaumont invited pupils to write encouraging and supportive messages on the whiteboard. The messages, which quickly filled the board, served as a reminder of the power of positivity and self-love. Some of the heartfelt messages included:
- “Don’t stop, keep going”
- “Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your day”
- “Love yourself xoxo”
- “Never let anyone bring you down, love yourself always”
- “Keep smiling”
- “Believe in yourself”
- “Life’s too short to be mad”
- “You are worthy of loving”
- “You are brave, you are the brightest star – you just don’t know it yet”
The session created a sense of community within the school, with pupils leaving the room feeling uplifted and encouraged to keep believing in themselves. Miss Beaumont reflected on the session, saying, “I’m so proud of how the pupils embraced this activity. It’s not always easy to open up, but today was a powerful reminder that even the simplest positive message can make a huge difference in someone’s life.”
The event was an inspiring success, showing how small acts of kindness and self-belief can create lasting change. It also highlighted the importance of supporting each other, both in and out of the classroom.
As part of the academy’s ongoing commitment to mental health, pupils can expect more opportunities for open dialogue and positivity in the future.
