Meet our Green Home Entrepreneurs

Meet our Green Home Entrepreneurs

Our Enterprise Club has been busy designing Green Homes as part of the Home of 2030 initiative.

TV Architect George Clark launched the initiative that wants to create a drive for innovative, affordable and eco-friendly homes.

Our Pupils during their Enterprise Club have been designing just that.

Amarachi and Davina are one of the groups who are entering their designs to the Young Person’s Design Challenge. They have produced a presentation explaining their ideas and now they’re building prototypes.

Amarachi, Year 10 Pupil, said: “I love how you get to be creative and design something that might change the future plus help save the planet.”

Davina, Year Pupil 10 added: “I like how I get to work with Amarachi and come up with lots of ideas to build a sustainable house for the future. We’re hoping to have ours built in the next coming weeks.”

The competition closes on Friday 28 February and our Pupils are using the next few weeks to finalise their research and prototypes.

Business Studies Teacher Miss Maidment said: “We decided to enter the competition as it’s a really good opportunity for them to put their entrepreneurial skills in action.

“Our Pupils commitment to the project has been amazing and I can see their hard work paying off by winning the competition.”
