Ada Lovelace Day with DigitalHer
There have always been amazing women in STEM, but the problem is… we need more! Some of our Year 8 girls spent Ada Lovelace Day at the Science and Industry Museum learning about STEM careers with Digital Her.
Over 100 Year 8 girls from across Manchester were introduced to the 40 real-life role models – “inspirational women who, by already working in the tech sector, are paving the way for the next generation to follow them”.
Digital Her provide support, opportunities and guidance to encourage a new generation of women into our industry.
They got to meet lots of female role models including software engineers, marketing advisors and policy writers. They left feeling inspired and ready to change the world. We are so grateful for yet another great opportunity for our pupils!
The day was organised with Digital Her’s mission statement in mind ‘if she can see it, she can be it’, something we totally agree with!
