We're closed to most students
The Government is asking parents to keep children at home whenever possible – schools remain open only for children who need to attend.

Art and Design

The department has three dedicated teaching rooms which enable our pupils to learn and create using a wide range of techniques in the most up to date facilities. In addition to this, due to the extensive grounds and outdoor spaces, pupils are also provided with the opportunities to sketch the landscape from different areas around the school grounds.

What does our curriculum include?

The curriculum covers a range of different topics, extending a range of skills and provides the opportunity for pupils to use a range of different media within their art work. The standard of art that you see around the academy demonstrates the progress that our pupils make throughout their time here.

Art club is open to all pupils across each key stage providing the opportunity to explore the subject further. Opportunities to enhance skills through other experiences are also provided including the recent engagement in the ‘Manchester Bee’ and ‘Manchester Bookbench’ trails. Pupils have also had their art displayed in galleries, as well as at The Co-op Headquarters.
