Anti-Bullying Ambassadors Launch New Initiatives for Anti-Bullying Week
For Anti-Bullying Week, our school’s Anti-Bullying Ambassadors led an inspiring campaign encouraging pupils to "do something positive" and "choose respect." Pupils attended special assemblies with Mrs. Fiddler and the Ambassadors, where they learned about the importance of kindness, empathy, and taking a stand against bullying.
A highlight of the week was an initiative led by the Anti-Bullying Ambassadors to foster positivity throughout the school. Pupils were invited to write uplifting messages on paper leaves, which were then displayed on the “Postitivitree” that is located in the main reception. This tree of positive messages has become a symbol of unity and support, reminding everyone of the power of respect and encouragement.
Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are introducing several new initiatives to strengthen the academy’s commitment to creating a supportive environment. Alongside the "Positivitree" display, the ambassadors will conduct a ballot to gather input from pupils on ways to effectively address bullying. This ballot aims to capture a broad perspective, giving all pupils a voice in shaping the school’s anti-bullying strategies.
In addition, the ambassadors are setting up a Self-Care Corner in the school library, a dedicated safe space where pupils can relax, reflect, and recharge. This space will serve as a supportive resource for pupils seeking comfort and calm during the school day, furthering our goal of fostering a respectful and inclusive school community.
Through these activities, our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors will empower pupils to create a kinder, more inclusive school environment.
Mrs Fiddler, Vice Principal added:
“This week, our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors engaged in impactful assemblies and activities focused on anti-bullying, emphasising the importance of choosing respect, kindness, and inclusion in our school community. We are especially proud of our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and their commitment to their leadership roles, which are vital in promoting our Anti-Bullying Charter and creating a safe and supportive environment for everyone at Co-op Academy North Manchester."
