We've written to our Class of 2023 regarding the Year 11 Leavers' Celebration event that we sadly had to postpone.  

We are mindful that colleges have begun asking to see year 11 exam certificates and proof of qualifications. We have therefore made the decision to provide an opportunity for pupils to collect their certificates in person from the Academy on Wednesday 31st January 3:30-5:00pm.  We hope that the Class of 2023 will be able to join us in the Bridgewater FLZ to collect their certificates, enjoy some light refreshments and have the opportunity to catch up with some of their teachers and pastoral staff, who would love to see you.  We are aware that most colleges offer recreational opportunities and an earlier finish on a Wednesday afternoon, hence our decision to run the event on this day. We will be available until 5:00pm so even if pupils do have college, hopefully they can still attend to collect their certificates.

Pupils will need to sign for their certificates, and we will not be able to release them to anyone else, due to GDPR. The certificates cost several hundred pounds to replace, and colleges and employers do not accept photocopies, so please keep them safe.

The Senior Leadership Team and  the exam team will be present to ensure the event runs smoothly.  We ask that guests arrive via the front entrance (Victoria Avenue East) as the back gates will be locked and then make their way to the event in the Bridgewater FLZ external doors and this will be clearly signposted.

Any certificates not collected by 5:00pm on Wednesday 31st January will remain at the Academy for 1 year only for collection.
