First Tech Challenge - Could you be a Mentor?

Our Robotics extra-curricular club is looking for a mentor to support them with the First Tech Challenge!

The First Tech Challenge (FTC) is a prestigious robotics competition that challenges pupils to design, build, and program robots to complete specific tasks and solve complex problems. FTC UK emphasises innovation, teamwork, and STEAM education, making it a dynamic platform for young minds to showcase their engineering prowess. Participants engage in spirited competitions, fostering creativity and technical skills while promoting the values of cooperation and excellence in science and technology. Being associated with FTC offers sponsors a unique opportunity to support STEAM education and align yourselves with a program that champions innovation and community impact.

As we gear up for our first exciting season with our robotics team, we are reaching out to our wonderful community for support in a crucial aspect of our journey - mentorship.

Mentors play a pivotal role in guiding and inspiring our pupils throughout the season. Their expertise, experience, and passion for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) contribute significantly to the success and growth of our team. We believe that having dedicated mentors can enhance the learning experience for our pupils and help them reach their full potential.

If you or someone you know has a background in engineering, programming, community outreach, or any related field, and are interested in contributing your knowledge and skills to mentor our team, we would be incredibly grateful. Your commitment to mentorship can make a lasting impact on the future engineers, innovators, and leaders within our team.

Here are some key details about the opportunity:

Time Commitment: Mentors typically dedicate 2 or 3 hours per week to engage with the team during meetings. The specific time commitment can be discussed and tailored to fit your schedule.

Areas of Expertise: We welcome mentors with expertise in various areas, including mechanical design, programming, electronics, and project management. Your unique skills can complement and enrich our team's abilities.

Benefits of Mentoring: Mentors have the opportunity to share their passion for STEAM, contribute to the education of young minds, and witness the growth and success of our team.

If you are interested or have any questions about the mentorship role, please contact the academy via email on noma-enquiries@coopacademies.co.uk  or by phone, 0161 681 1592. Your support in this capacity is invaluable to us, and we would be thrilled to welcome you on board as a mentor.

Thank you for considering this request, and we look forward to the possibility of working together to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators.

Warm regards,

Co-op Academy North Manchester Robotics Team
