Pupils Rise to the Challenge
The Rise programme and the Manchester United Foundation aim to engage and empower innovation inspiring leaders of today and united communities of tomorrow. The programme offers young people the opportunity and support to come up with a project or idea that can make a difference.
Each year Rise invites 15-17 year olds from around the world to participate in the challenge. Applicants are able to use videos, projects and group interviews to allow them to have multiple opportunities to showcase their potential.
Zina and Fatima in Year 11 are representing the academy by taking part in the RISE programme. They have shown a huge level of commitment that has really impressed everyone involved in the project
Their journey on the RISE Project so far has taken them to Old Trafford to meet with applicants from other schools and listen to guest speakers and former global winners and as part of their individual projects they delivered a presentation and workshop to a group of Year 8 pupils about their ideas. The Year 8 pupils then designed and created posters about the girls projects which have since been displayed around our academy.
