Action for Conservation inspire pupils to become the next generation of conservationists

Action for Conservation worked with a group of Year 8 and 10 pupils over a series of workshops for pupils to create their own conservation project.

Pupils learnt how and why we should conserve our planet’s resources and in the final session presented to the group their ideas and plans to create a more sustainable environment around our academy. Our Year 10 pupil leaders worked with groups of Year 8 pupils to guide and support them during their presentations.

Attending the workshop allowed me to think about more potential job ideas involving geography and it helped me to develop my leadership skills by bringing the team together’

Katie, Year 10 Pupil Leader

The variety of projects was incredible to see the pupils come up with and in the Summer term it will be great to see some of the projects in action.
