I am delighted to be a Vice Principal at Co-op Academy North Manchester, leading an area of the academy which I am very passionate about: pastoral care.  I am interested in all things sports, health and science, which is why I completed an undergraduate degree in Applied Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Salford.  Later, I completed a PGCE at Edgehill University before going on to study for a Masters in Teaching and Learning at Manchester Metropolitan University.  I am a teacher of Science and my specialism is Biology, but additionally, I work with school leaders and teams of staff across the academy, including the pastoral team, the attendance team and the safeguarding team, in a role that supports pupils to have good attendance; promotes positive attitudes to learning and helps students make positive decisions for fulfilling and successful later lives.  I am incredibly proud of our pastoral team's commitment to ensuring that North Manchester pupils achieve excellence in all that they do and leave as well-rounded citizens.
