I am extremely proud to be a Vice Principal at Co-op Academy North Manchester; a community which is important to me in numerous ways. I was fortunate enough to attend the predecessor school, North Manchester High School for Boys and never ventured far from the local area throughout my further studies. After completing an Ancient History Degree at Manchester University, I trained to be a teacher and was lucky enough to secure my first teaching role at this school in 2011 when it was known as Manchester Creative and Media Academy. My induction to teaching was supported by fantastic colleagues who gave me their time and the benefits of their experience and this is something I now try to provide for colleagues and students. During my time here I have been able to experience a variety of roles and have worked mainly on curriculum design, leadership development, CPD and improving the quality of teaching through collaboration. I have been happy to remain at Co-op Academy North Manchester for 14 years as my own values align with those of the academy and the Trust and I am delighted to be part of a team which comes to work everyday to support students to go on to lead happy and successful lives.
